DAY 30 Prayer for Peaceful Reunification

남북한 이산가족의 생사확인과 상봉을 가로막는 장애가 극복되게 하옵소서.

막힌 담을 허시는 하나님, 남과 북으로 헤어진 우리 일천만 이산가족들을 불쌍히 여겨 주옵소서. 가족들의 생사를 확인하고 자유롭게 만날 길을 열어 주옵소서. 이념의 장벽을 넘어서 이산가족의 만남이 이루어지도록 사랑의 길을 열어 주옵소서. 새롭게 이산가족이 된 새터민들을 기억해 주시고, 북한에 남아있는 가족들의 안전을 하나님의 크신 팔로 지켜 주시고 보호하여 주옵소서. 

위로의 하나님! 한민족이 하나가 되게 하여 주옵소서. 형제가 반목하며 어찌 평화롭게 살 수 있겠습니까? 특별히 상처와 고통을 안고 살아가는 이산가족들을 보살펴 주옵소서. 가족의 생사라도 확인하도록 은총을 베풀어 주시옵소서. 슬픔에 잠긴 이들을 위로하여 주시고, 조속한 시일 내에 상봉이 이루어지도록 길을 열어 주옵소서. 남북의 교류와 협력을 제한하는 조치가 철회되게 하옵소서. 작은 교류라도 허락하시어 통일의 큰 물길이 열리도록 은혜를 베푸소서. 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

We pray for the removal of obstacles blocking verification of the survival of family members in the North, and for the withdrawal of barriers standing in the way of their reunion.

You are the God who breaks down walls. Have mercy on the 10 million family members separated by the border between North and South. Open up a way for them to verify each other’s survival and to meet once again. Make a way for these families to be reunited in love, overcoming ideological barriers. Remember the refugees who have recently been separated from their families. Watch over the families left behind in the North, and protect them with your strong arms.

God of comfort, allow the Korean people to become one again. How can sisters and brothers live in peace while maintaining antagonism? We pray especially for your care of separated families living in pain and sorrow. Grant that they may at least be assured of their family members’ survival. Comfort those who are grieving, and make a way for their early reunion. Take down the systems that limit interaction and cooperation between the North and the South. Make possible even the smallest interaction, so that it may open up the channel to reunification.
