Aus dem Vortrag: "... Die Fragen der Minderheiten: seien es nun die Buraku oder die Dalit oder eben die Sinti und Roma, und wie sich diese Thematik in den jeweiligen Ländern darstellt in Gleichheit und Verschiedenheit. Das hat Sie immer wieder sehr direkt bewegt und beschäftigt.
Ab 2009 sogar mit einer Geschäftordnung. Spätestens im 10. Jahr wird aus einer Initiative etwas Ordentliches, Gefestigtes, eine Struktur. Etwas also, das Sie alle überdauern wird.
Und das ist auch gut so, denn das Thema ist mit Ihrem Engagement und Eifer noch lange nicht erledigt. ..."

We thank you for the opportunity to share with you the work we are involved in at the Buraku Liberation Center. Some aspects of our struggle against the oppressive discrimination experienced by people of buraku descent are unique to the Japanese setting, but much of what we do parallels what you do here in Germany with respect to fighting against discrimination against the Sinti-Roma people, and indeed, this is why we find so much in common with all of the groups we are in solidarity with, as the human suffering resulting from discrimination and the longing for justice and dignity is common to us all.

In order to help you get a sense for the kinds of activities we are involved in, here is a brief report of our activities over the last year. Hopefully, you will find it an encouragement to hear about what your brothers and sisters in Christ are doing in Japan concerning this issue.
