Gwangju Trauma Center is a healing center for survivors of state violence and torture and their families including survivors of May 18 Democratic Movement of Gwangju.

History

The GTC was founded in August 2012. Starting with the group treatment in November, 2012, family treatment, individual counseling, art therapy, and physiotherapy are being provided. Since 2013, Dream-work therapy, photo therapy, and moving therapy are also being provided.

To create social support and compassion in local society, a series of public lecture titled “Healing and Humanities“ have been performed. The first lecture was given by Prof. Park No-ja ....
