Christian Counseling Center (CCC) in Tokyo
16. April ·2020
To all of you who are reading Facebook from Chairman Pfr. OSHIO Hikaru
Peace of the Lord
In Christianity, it was at this time that we were sharing the joy of Easter. However, as a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, churches around the world are also broadcasting live worship of non-congregations, worshiping only by pastors, and closing the church itself. We hope that the health and safety of all of you will be protected in the new year of anxiety throughout the world.
CCC has gradually reduced its activities since the end of February to protect the safety of trainees, consultants, and counselors. I think many people were initially confused by the sudden suspension measures. The staff in charge were also confused and worried about how long to continue this measure. Therefore, we apologize for delaying the message to everyone, mainly in transmitting administrative matters.
During this period, we all looked at the situation, but determined that the situation would not end in a short period of time, and although it was provisional, we suspended all risk-taking activities such as training and consultation until the end of August. And if it is judged that it is difficult to ensure the safety of all the people involved, the policy is to extend the countermeasure period. CCC's job is to protect mental safety, so it will take some time before we can ensure the physical and mental safety of everyone involved.
As we have experienced many natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons, we also have a lot of experiences that make us feel anxious about the information in the media. Anxiety controls people's minds, which leads to bad relationships and mental problems. First of all, it is important to stay away from anything that fuels anxiety. It is a major premise to create an environment that keeps you away from the new coronavirus, but you can also create an environment where you can calm down by limiting the information to one reliable program or reducing the number of searches on the Internet. Mental anxiety can also make your body worse. I think it's good to take this opportunity to rest your body and make an effort not to be too hard. The first step to prevent the collapse of the medical field is to keep yourself free from medical treatment.
It also has the effect of making optimistic, self-predicting and reassuring people to escape anxiety. Although it is a reactionary formation, I hope that I will never be optimistic this time. If the measures are taken for a long time, you will feel relaxed that you will be okay, and your efforts will be wasted.
When this happens again, the weaknesses of human beings are exposed. CCC has walked to support such people, but now that they aren't working, everyone is disappointed. However, I keep in mind the principle that if an aid person cannot protect his / her own safety, he / she cannot provide personal assistance. Thanks to everyone's great cooperation, we were able to take measures that CCC can now do. The latest information will be posted on our website.
With the number of infected people increasing and decreasing, I think this will definitely be a long battle. But the time has come to settle down. Let's share the information with everyone and create the best path. There will always be times when it can be said that this time was meaningful to us. We pray that each person's anxiety and anger will be alleviated, and the peace and safety of the mind and body will be protected.
