Korea Democracy Foundation
Korea Democracy Foundation was established in 2001 by law.
The first chairperson was Rev. Hyung-kyu Park, who you know well.
Rev. Park Sang-joong also served as chair of the foundation under the President Park Geun-hye administration.
The current chairperson is Mr. Ji-Sun, a Buddhist monk. Ji Sun is a Buddhist leader who participated in the democratization movement from 1980.
The vice president is Rev. Jung Jin-woo. Rev. Jung has been the director of the Human Rights Center at KNCC and you are familiar with it. The executive director also worked as a secretary at Min Ka-hyup, a civil group that supported political prisoner in 1980~1990 and used to work at the National Human Rights Commission.
The board members are composed by leaders of democratization movement and civil activists.
KDF organized a commemorative project for the entire Korean democratization movement, and recently is preparing to build the Democracy Human Rights Memorial Museum.
