One former comfort woman’s last testimony

"Park Sookyi died on Dec. 6 at 94 years old, and her testimony remains as a reminder of wartime suffering
“Are you saying I should tell these people about that right now?” That was the first thing that Park Sookyi
said when the grayhaired Japanese professor visited her studio apartment on Mar. 10, 2013. It was not until 2012 that Park finished registering as a former comfort woman. The person who was respectfully kneeling before the elderly woman was Yoshiaki Yoshimi, a professor at Japan’s Chuo University.

It was Yoshimi who found documents at the library of the Japanese defense institute in Jan. 1992
showing the involvement of the Japanese army in the comfort women system. ...."
